NEW MARIANAS TRENCH RELEASE

MARIANAS TRENCH SET NOVEMBER 21 FOR EVER AFTER

CANADIAN TOUR DATES WITH SIMPLE PLAN ANNOUNCED FOR FEBRUARY 2012

29 SEPTEMBER 2011 (Toronto, ON)

— Vancouver pop rockers Marianas Trench have announced November 21 as the 604 Records/Universal Music Canada release date for Ever After, the follow-up to their Platinum-certified Masterpiece Theatre.

Ever After was produced by vocalist-guitarist Josh Ramsay and recorded at his studio, Umbrella Factory, in Richmond, BC. Guitarist Matt Webb, bassist Mike Ayley, drummer Ian Casselman, and Ramsay set out to stretch their imaginations further than the high concepts of Masterpiece Theatre. Going a further step in the philosophy as a record representing one larger work of multiple linked ideas, the album has no breaks between songs and contains an overarching theme of a “pop-rock symphony based around a fairytale concept,” says Ramsay, who wrote all lyrics and music. This motif carries into the video for first single “Haven’t Had Enough”, which tells the story of Ramsay trapped in an alternate world ruled by a wicked princess at the head of an army of toy-like minions. 200 of the band’s dedicated fans showed up on set to assist in making it magically evil.

Marianas Trench have built their name on relentless touring and engagement with their fans through social media, while chart-busting singles such as “Celebrity Status”, “Good To You”, “Cross My Heart”, and “All To Myself” have ruled airwaves and online plays. Industry accolades in the form of awards and nominations have been sweet, but nothing can trump the first love of performing in front of a live audience. Marianas Trench have just announced tour dates with Simple Plan beginning this fall with Canadian dates scheduled for February.
