NICKELBACK SET NOVEMBER 21 FOR HERE AND NOW

TWO SINGLES WHEN WE STAND TOGETHER & BOTTOMS UP TO BE RELEASED SIMULTANEOUSLY SEPTEMBER 26

12 SEPTEMBER 2011 (Toronto, ON) — Universal Music Canada (UMC), the country's leading music company, has entered into agreement with Canada's own international multi-platinum selling rock band, Nickelback, along with Roadrunner Records, for the band’s seventh studio album, Here And Now. The joint announcement was made today by band frontman, Chad Kroeger, and Randy Lennox, President and CEO of UMC.

Produced by Nickelback and recorded at Vancouver's Mountain View Studios, Here And Now marks the follow-up to 2008's 6x Platinum selling Dark Horse. The new album will be released November 21, with dual first singles releasing to radio simultaneously September 26 and then for sale the following day, September 27.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to move into the future with Universal Music Canada as our partner!," said Kroeger. "Randy and his team are already like family and the band is very excited to be bringing out what we believe to be our best music with the country's best team."

Echoes Lennox, "It is an honour to have Nickelback join with us to present the next phase of their remarkable career. It is our privilege to be working alongside such an incredibly talented and determined group who, while being globally-minded artists, still celebrate the unique benefits of being a Canadian band."

Nickelback is one of the most prolific album and concert ticket selling bands of the past decade throughout North America and the world. The band has sold nearly 50 million records worldwide while releasing single after chart topping single such as "Never Again", "How You Remind Me", "Someday", "Photograph", and "Animals". The band will embark on a new world tour in support of Here And Now in early 2012 with dates to be announced shortly.
