30 AUGUST 2024 (TORONTO, ON) — Today, superstar producer, songwriter, and artist BNYX®️ releases hotly anticipated debut single “Go Again,” alongside Yeat featuring a sample from alt rock band Superheaven. BNYX®️ first previewed the beat for what eventually became “Go Again” on TikTok over a year ago to near immediate virality. Once the record came together, he’s since teased the full track during opening sets for Yeat during their special three-show North American tour. Now, the hotly anticipated record is finally here – arriving alongside a cinematic music video starring both BNYX®️ and Yeat. Watch HERE.
“Go Again” is a testament to BNYX®️’s impressive versatility and ability to draw connections across the ever-growing musical landscape. On the track, Yeat’s signature bars are laid over a cascade of distorted guitars and bluesy backing vocals. With an alt-rock edge and dynamic production, the sonically supercharged track is the perfect debut – one that’s sure to make a lasting impression and keep listeners on their toes for what’s to come.
Today’s release arrives just months after BNYX®️ signed on with Lyfestyle Corporation / Field Trip / Capitol Records in the spring following a massive year for the multi-hyphenate. In 2023, he produced 8 tracks on Yeat’s No. 4 charting album AftërLyfe and Drake’s No. 2 Billboard hit “Search & Rescue,” which spent 7 weeks atop Billboard’s ‘Top Rap Producers’ chart and got him named ‘Best Hip Hop Producer Of 2023’ by Complex.
ABOUT BNYX®️:
BNYX®️’s story is one of true self-actualization. Since scoring his first major credit for Ty Dolla $ign in 2017, BNYX®️ has worked to become a malleable talent – one of the most versatile and dynamic of his generation with a sonic style impossible to pin down. In the last two years alone, he’s made raw punk rock with Fousheé, propulsive reggaeton for Travis Scott, and slinky ‘80s-style R&B for Zack Fox.
Already part of the wildly successful production collective Working on Dying, BNYX®️ saw his first major career breakthrough in 2022 when he partnered with Yeat to produce multiple tracks on EP Lyfë, including hit Lil Uzi Vert collaboration “Flawless”. After the release of Lyfe, BNYX®️ went on to produce nearly half of the 22-song tracklist for Yeat’s third studio album AftërLyfe, the blockbuster project which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 2023. From there, BNYX®️ became one of the most in-demand producers in hip-hop, going on to collaborate with rap superstar Drake, producing several tracks on Drake’s album For All the Dogs, including the smash Yeat collaboration “IDGAF” and executive producing the It’s All A Blur Tour, working on sound design and recreating tour versions of the records that hit harder and stronger within each venue. BNYX®️’s work with Drake led him to re-enter Billboard’s ‘Hot 100 Producers’ chart in October of last year, landing him the spot as No. 1 producer in the U.S. for the first time. He simultaneously debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s ‘Hot 100 Songwriters’ chart, for his work as a co-writer on all six of the charted songs he produced. To date, BNYX®️ has spent 7 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s ‘Top Rap Producers’ chart, 7 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s ‘Top R&B / Hip-Hop Producers’ chart, and even landed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s ‘Top Gospel Producers’ chart.
Now, BNYX®️ is ready to take the next step in his career, signing a deal with Yeat’s Lyfestyle Corporation (via Field Trip Recordings / Capitol Records) to ready a debut album that showcases the true breadth of his musical ambitions.
About Yeat:
Since exploding on to the scene, Yeat has quickly become one of the most exciting and enigmatic rises of his generation in music. Low-fi melodies, clever cutting lyrics, and a distinctly mysterious persona are all highlights that contribute to the young talent’s unique brand. Earlier this year, Yeat hit a massive career milestone with his highest charting album to date, 2093 debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200. Within its first week of release, the blockbuster project reached over 150M global streams and sold 70,000 equivalent album units. This marked Yeat’s fourth entry in the Top 10 in only 2 years: Lyfë (No. 10 in 2022), 2 Alivë (No. 6 in 2022), AftërLyfe (No. 4 in 2023) and 2093 (No. 2 in 2024).
Born Noah Smith in 2000, Yeat began releasing music in 2015, taking notes from Young Thug’s melodic strangeness and the inventive production styles of rappers who were rising to prominence as he grew up. He started out using the moniker Lil Yeat, but shortened it to Yeat in 2018. That year, he released his first mixtape, Deep Blue Strips. From then on, he was in hyperdrive. Yeat broke through in 2021 when his song “Gët Busy” went viral online. The track became so ubiquitous that it caught the attention of heavyweight rappers, including Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, and many more. As his fame skyrocketed, so did the mania surrounding the artist’s cult-like following which led to the shutdown of a show in Los Angeles at The Roxy. Now, Yeat has two headlining tours under his belt, four Billboard Top 10 Album Debuts, and a staggering 8B global streams.
As his fame skyrocketed, Yeat released the mixtapes Alivë and 4L, and the Trëndi EP, before the release of his first proper studio album. Up 2 Më was issued in September 2021 followed by a second studio LP, 2 Alivë, in early 2022, AftërLyfe in 2023, and 2093 in 2024. Just last year, Yeat was tapped by superstar Drake to collaborate on record “IDGAF” which is featured on Drake’s album For All The Dogs. The song, which was an instant hit, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #1 on the Billboard Global 200. With much more music coming soon, Yeat is well on his way to superstardom.
