27 JANUARY 2023 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, Toronto-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Sofia Camara releases a powerful and emotional acoustic version of “Never Be Yours”, her first single released under Universal Music Canada/21 Entertainment. This follows the previously released unplugged version of “Never Be Yours”, which features a stripped-back guitar-driven approach to the Banx & Ranx-produced song.

The acoustic version of “Never Be Yours” brings all the emotions of the track to the forefront, with Sofia unpacking her tear-jerking lyrics and bringing new meaning to the song with her powerful and vulnerable delivery. Having teased the acoustic version for months during live performances and with fans on social media, the official release marks a celebratory moment for Sofia as the original version of “Never Be Yours” continues to reach new peaks at radio stations across the nation.
“I had this perfect image of someone who I actually didn’t know as well as I thought I did,” says Sofia about “Never Be Yours”. “When writing this song, I remember saying I wanted to send one last text or leave one more voicemail, but instead I wrote this song. This is the first new release from Sofia Camara in 2023, opening the door for much more new music from the breakthrough artist in the coming weeks.
