ELLIOTT JACK SANSOM RELEASES “OPENING SERENADE”

10 JANUARY 2025 (TORONTO, ON) – "Opening Serenade" is the opening track and first single from Elliott Jack Sansom’s brand new album Night Light.
2023-2024 saw Elliott take a break from promoting in order to focus on writing – and despite being tempted out of the studio for a couple of beautiful collaborations, he has been busy parenting and composing. It seems fitting that "Opening Serenade" will take us by the hand in early January and lead us gently and thoughtfully into 2025.
The album itself, coming in May, tells the story of fatherhood, from first discovering that his partner was pregnant, through to becoming a Dad to his first child, son Alfie. It is a deeply personal and highly emotive album, and this first single really sets the scene musically.
Elliott’s style of calm, reflective solo piano evokes a feeling that Elliott himself was determined to cultivate during the first trimester of his partner Katie’s pregnancy. Its gentle, pentatonic ostinato creates a meditative atmosphere pulling listeners into a state of peaceful immersion. The melody itself stays with you and acts as almost a mantra if you let it!
