“Neon Cowgirl” is a nod to classic country ballads with Kulyk’s modern twist, making for a track she describes as “country magic.”
“This song made me cry in the studio when it was being recorded,” says Kulyk, “if I could describe myself in one song it would be this one.”
Alongside original track “Neon Cowgirl,” Kulyk is sharing her interpretation of The Chicks’ “Cowboy Take Me Away.” Following her nostalgic cover of “I May Hate Myself In The Morning” by Lee Ann Womack that accompanied her previous single, “You Fight Dirty,” these classic covers give fans insight into Kulyk’s musical inspirations.
“One of my first concerts I went to as a little girl was The Chicks and I’ll never forget it,” Kulyk recalls. “It takes me back to that little girl who had a dream to be playing the same big time stage she saw The Chicks playing.”
Kulyk was recently announced as the opener for Niko Moon’s upcoming tour, These Are The Nights. The Canadian leg of the tour kicks off in Montreal on 4/3 and wraps in Winnipeg 5/10. Tickets are on-sale now, and can be purchased HERE.
