KRIS WU RELEASES NEW SINGLE “LIKE THAT”

TRACK SET TO APPEAR ON INTERNATIONAL PHENOMENON’S FORTHCOMING DEBUT ALBUM

18 May 2018 (Toronto, ON) — Today marks the premiere of “Like That”, the new single from Chinese music producer, singer-songwriter and actor Kris Wu, out now on Interscope Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. “Like That” is Wu’s first release since signing an exclusive international recording agreement with Universal Music Group (UMG) last month.

Produced by FKi 1st (an Atlanta-based producer/writer known for his work with Migos, 2 Chainz, Post Malone and Travis Scott), and co-written by Wu, “Like That” is built on a sophisticated arrangement of sleek beats, seductive melody, and rhythmic dance grooves. Laid-back yet intense, the song perfectly showcases Wu’s magnetic and intimate vocal work.

Wu will soon release a video for “Like That,” featuring British super model and Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell. The song is set to appear on his forthcoming debut album, which is due out later this year.

Last October, Wu became the first-ever Chinese artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Chart, thanks to the smash success of the single “Deserve” ft. Travis Scott. Along with earning significant airplay on American radio, “Deserve” has racked up more than a billion streams globally to date.

One of Asia’s biggest stars, the 27-year-old Wu was born in Guangzhou, China. In addition to gaining an international following with a series of viral hits co-written and co-produced by Wu (including “July,” “6,” “B.M.,” and “Juice”), which quickly gained a US following and millions of plays online. He’s starred in movies like XxX: Return of Xander Cage and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. He also serves as a brand ambassador for BVLGARI and a global brand ambassador at Burberry (making Wu the first non-British person chosen to represent the luxury brand). Most recently Wu was tapped as an ambassador for the NFL and the first Chinese artist performed his hit songs at Super Bowl Live in February 2018.
