14 FEBRUARY 2025 (TORONTO, ON) — Sam Fender is pleased to share a new track from his forthcoming album, People Watching, alongside an emotionally charged video. Watch the video for Remember My Name HERE

Fellow Geordie, the I, Daniel Blake star Dave Johns shares the video’s lead role, depicting the crushing inevitability of love, companionship and of eventual loss. The video also features the Easington Colliery Band who hail from the North East of England, and also feature on the track itself. Dave Johns shares the lead with actor Philippa Briggs. The video was directed by Hector Dockrill

Sam Fender “Remember My Name is a love song dedicated to my late Grandparents - they were always so fiercely proud of our family so I wrote the song in honour of them, from the perspective of my Grandad who was looking after my Grandma when she was suffering from dementia.

“The video is a really special one for me, I’d like to thank everyone involved.”

Polydor Records has made a donation to the Utley Foundation on behalf of Sam Fender in support of their Music for Dementia campaign to make music an integral part of dementia care, based on the life-changing effect it has on people living with dementia.

Remember My Name is the final track to be shared from People Watching ahead of its release next Friday. It’s the fourth taster of Sam’s third full-length LP, and follow’s the album’s storming title-track, Wild Long Lie, and Arm’s Length.

Earlier this week, Sam added to his previously announced stadium run in Newcastle and London, with three big outdoor dates in Manchester (Wythenshawe Park), Edinburgh’s Summer Sessions (at Royal Highland Showgrounds), and Belfast as part of the VITAL series (at Boucher Road Playing Fields) in August. For a full list of Sam’s confirmed live dates, please see below.

Fans are advised to register/pre-order the album for the opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets, with the registration period open now until Monday 17th February at 10am GMT. Fans who receive their unique codes will be able to enter the pre-sale which commences on Tuesday 18th February at 11am GMT, concluding on Wednesday 19th February at 10am GMT, with all remaining tickets on general sale from Friday 21st February at 10am GMT via www.samfender.com

Now solidified as one of Britain’s most accomplished songwriters of his generation and the next, if Seventeen Going Under was Sam’s “coming of age” record, People Watching is his next step forward - colourful stories and observations of everyday characters living their everyday, but often extraordinary, lives.

Last month, Sam was nominated for ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘Best Alternative/Rock Act’ at the BRIT Awards 2025 on 1st March.
